Lazy Sunday

It's 1:45, and I'm still in my pajamas.
I just had leftover spinach-lasanga-smush for lunch, and I'm drinking jasmine-white tea.
Winter Term is Ridiculous!

I'm still the only person I've seen living in Russian House. I haven't actually met the mouse that is living in the kitchen, but I've seen its droppings & it has eaten part of a square of baking chocolate.
Should I name it? There are several ineffective mousetraps (the paper/glue kind, not the snapping metal/wood kind) in the kitchen -- I wonder if at some point the mouse will appear inside a small paper box coated with glue.
Because of the mouse, I've taken to cleaning the surfaces with clorox wipes before I use them. This is less frustrating now than it would be during the semester, since the only messes I'm encountering are mine. I don't know if the housekeeper, Sally, cleans at all during Winter Term. Given how little she cleans during the year, I would imagine that she doesn't do much.

Last night we had lasagna & birthday cake for Adam, who just turned 20 on Jan 4th. It's not unlikely that he is the youngest person in my year; it seems all to be due to his being homeschooled all the way through highschool. His parents must be total badasses. The lasanga was okay, but the birthday cake was very good. Mueller is pretty slow when baking things; I think this is why all her cakes are so good. They take a lot longer than mine do, but overall she is very careful with everything she does. She was mostly in charge of the cake (I got the ingredients out!) & it turned out well. It seems that Breyer's (the ice cream brand) kind of sucks. It was very icy & not creamy. Those bastards.
