I'm feeling lazy. So here is the description of Sam's parents that I wrote to Elisa in an email, for all the world to read:

"His parents are all amazing! I had a really nice talk with his mom on Friday night -- She's great. And so is his dad and his stepmom. They are all really really cool -- though completely different. His mom is very polished and educated and drinks Starbucks and has white carpet, and his dad has a pony tail and wears teeshirts and is very educated and knows about everything and listens to opera in the morning and blues in the car. So they are both fabulous. And his step mom (really stepmom-to-be, this summer) is SO cool, too, very laid back, says 'yeah, man' a lot, and is so warm I don't know what to do. And the food is great."

All of this is still true, and they all continue to amaze me. And the FOOD!
